Dr. Ann Wolfe Memorial Perinatal Partnership Conference Scholarship

Each year, the NCPA offers two conference scholarships in memory of former board member Dr. Ann Wolfe. The scholarships are offered as a reward and recognition for staff employed at an NC local health department in Maternal Child Health programs. The scholarships are awarded to two recipients to cover registration and basic travel expenses to the annual NC/SC Perinatal Partnership Conference.

Nomination criteria include:

 

1) Nominee must be employed by a NC Local Health Department

2) A minimum of 3 years of experience in Women’s and/or Children’s Health.

3) Nomination form must be signed by the Health Director

Her supervisor says she thinks “outside the box” to ensure regular contact with her clients. Her application stated, “Her enthusiasm when she hears the news that one of her clients had a safe and healthy delivery or reached a milestone point in their pregnancy is contagious!

Nursing Supervisor at Yadkin County Medical Clinic

She has been married for 25 years and has three wonderful children. Her background in women’s health has included being a staff nurse on the Mother Baby unit at Novant Health FMC and in the OB/GYN ambulatory clinic at Atrium Health WFBMC Downtown Health Plaza. She is certified in Maternal Newborn Nursing and a recipient of the Daisy Award. She is working towards her MSN-FNP as well as a DNP at Walsh University.
